Red Hat Summit / FudCon10 Boston – Arrival

So I finally arrived in “Bean Town” around 5:20pm, I have to admit flying Jet Blue, for the first time, I am rather impressed, flights were on time, my luggage didn’t get lost and the service and seating was outstanding. Kudos to Jet Blue!

After checking into my hotel at the Hilton Boston Back Bay, I decided to walk to the convention center to register and check out the registration party.

At registration all attendees received a cool “Red Hat Summit 2008″ back pack, and a Fedora 1 gig USB flash drive. After registration I decided to toss down a few of Boston’s best brews (Samuel Adams Lager) while perusing the vendor area which included the likes of, Zenoss, Zamanda, Centrify, HP, Dell, Zimbra, Xandros, MySQL, IBM, Intel, AMD, Cisco, and R1Soft just to mention a few.

The Fedora booth was kicking when I left so I didnt get a chance to mingle but I will be dedicating some time to finally put a face with some of the IRC nicks before this event is through.

Tomorrow is Day 1 so check out my thoughts of the days events tomorrow.

So I am getting everything ready to leave tomorrow to attend the Red Hat Summit (which is my first time) and a portion of the FudCon10 in Boston. I am really looking forward to these events and will be posting regularly throughout the event now that I finally put a blog up, bear with me on the theme for now (there are sections that dont display correctly) I am going to be fixing it as soon as I get the time to work on it.

Stay tuned for more to come.
